My local Kroger is one of the most common places for me to spot an interesting ride. It seems at least every other visit, I see something interesting entering, leaving, or parked at it. This is actually the second time I have published a DOTS: Kroger Edition , except I have since learned to put the most interesting thing as the thumbnail.

There are two different Toyota Land Cruisers that frequent the establishment, both in enviable condition. I previously documented the white convertible Land Cruiser I see here occasionally, which has more of a light restomod look.

This example is painted in a beautiful shade of mustard yellow, and is almost entirely restored to stock, although I spied some expensive looking shocks out front in addition to the leaf springs.

I actually saw this pull into the parking lot behind me, but couldn’t loop back to park next to it in time to chat with the owner. Funnily enough, this led to me discovering that th e only other cars of interest were parked only a few feet away.

The driver of this Volvo 240 actually stopped to take a photo of the Toyota at the same time as me, but held his phone at a horrifying 45 degrees as to make viewing as painful as possible. I may have seen his Volvo at the nearby Swedish specialty shop I’ve taken my mom’s XC90 on occasion too often.

Potato alert! My phone doesn’t do low light.

This (potato) pic just shows how close everything was.

As you can see, I (red Cruze) parked next to a tastefully modified bright yellow GTI and an original condition manual Volvo 240, not to mention the V60 Cross Country and the (much less interesting) XC90.

Obligatory crap parking. Although I couldn’t have wedged my pinky if I had tried, the driver did not hit the post.

Yellow, two-tone classic off-roader? I’m in love.

I think I prefer the yellow one over the lifted white convertible in that linked post, but it's always fun to see them out and about.
